Here's one of my more interesting stories. It doesn't have a name yet, but my fans say it's like crack. Yeah...and for future reference: Author's notes
IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HOMOSEXUALITY OR BISEXUALITY DO NOT READ THIS STORY!
Yes, the coffee shop owner's name came from FMA; deal with it. He's named Armstrong for a reason.
If you find Dies to be very Kel-esque, that's a good thing.
Yes, it's kinda short, but it's too the point. This chapter's pretty much an introduction anyway.
Ok, with that said, enjoy~!
***************************
Chapter One
The Coffee Shop Episode
Dies lay on the couch, smoking a cigarette with the window open. He knew he shouldn’t smoke, and Sally hates it when he does, but he just couldn’t help it. He took a long drag on the cigarette and blew the smoke towards the window.
That !@#$, he thought, cheatin’ on me like that, then leaving me…
He glanced over at the clock and found it was 11:45 a.m. and decided it was just about time to leave. He sighed, crushed out his cigarette, threw it out the window, and stood.
Dies stood at about 5’8”, with a somewhat pale complexion, and rather messy black hair that covered his pointed ears, and got in the way of his steel gray eyes constantly. He has an excellent body; mostly muscle, barely on ounce of fat on it, but not so much that he’s bulging out of his clothes; he barely looks like he has any at all. He looks like he has next to no muscle until he takes of his clothes.
He put a black shirt on and buttoned it, thinking, I’ll get him back, don’t worry about that; he’ll wish he never met me in the first place.
Dies is a notorious bisexual. He doesn’t care about gender; if he likes you, he likes you. A lot of people like him because he’s so social, always flirting, always smiling, and he’s such a looker. Dies is that guy that just about everybody likes, if not in a friend kind of way, then a more intimate kind of way.
He walked over to the coat rack and put on his black leather jacket. He dug through the pockets to find some gum to get rid of the smell of nicotine on his breath. He found it after a moment of digging through his pockets, unwrapped a piece and started chewing, thinking, What Sally don’t know, won’t hurt her, right?
“Right,” he said aloud, his voice smooth as velvet.
And with that, he walked out the door to meet with his sister, Sally.
Sally wasn’t really his sister. Dies is a shadow demon that was created by Sally’s grandmother to look after her children 1,634 years ago. Shadow demons are often made by a powerful witch, or conjured by a summoner; they aren’t very easy to find in a naturally. But, to make one, the witch has to give up something important to him or her, and the shadow demon’s weakness will be something pertaining to what they gave up. Natural shadow demons have been found, like the great thief Zellohs Androz, though very few have been found. Conjured or made shadow demons often have a very creepy nature, and cannot die a ‘normal’ death; they’re like walking corpses, but they still have some qualities of living beings. These qualities include body hair, emotion, and body heat; though much cooler, hunger, and thirst. The only way to destroy a summoned or made one is by finding its weak point and attacking that. They all have one; sometimes it’s a body part, a tattoo, or even a possession they were conjured with. Natural shadow demons can be killed like any normal demon.
Ever since Dies was made, he lived with Sally’s family. They all welcome him into their home as one of their own; like an extra child. Dies and Sally have always thought of each other as brother and sister, and wouldn’t hesitate to say so if questioned.
Dies walked into the local café, right on time. Sally had just sat down at their usual table by the back corner of the place.
Sally was a short elven girl, standing at about 5’3” with long strawberry blonde hair that came down to her knees. She usually has her hair braided, with a ribbon on the end. She has wide, soft green eyes, and a peachy complexion. She’s rather feminine looking; she wears skirts and dresses, with slender features, but her personality is more of a tomboy’s. She has a strong sense of judgment, and she appears wise beyond her years. She’s always happy to help Dies or any of her friends and family with just about anything. She always manages to put Dies in a happier mood when he’s in a bad mood, which isn’t very often.
He walked over to the table, and sat across from her as usual.
She frowned, “You’ve been smoking again, haven’t you?”
He smirked, “Yes’m…”
“What am I going to do with you?” She sighed, reaching across the table and moving his thick black hair out one of his steel gray eyes.
“You’re gonna have lunch with me, for starters.” He replied with a wink.
She giggled and ordered some tea. The waitress didn’t ask what Dies wanted; he always had a cup of black coffee, three spoons of sugar, and a muffin. He loved muffins.
They were happy, until a moment later. Dies' ex boyfriend, Jorge, walked into the coffee shop, and he wasn’t alone. He was with Donnie; the man he cheated on Dies with.
Dies was facing away from the door, but he saw something flicker in Sally’s eyes when they walked in, so he looked over and saw them. He narrowed his eyes, and a hard, malicious look came over him. He drummed his fingers on the table top; a sheer sign of jealousy for him.
“Dies…” Sally said, her voice low and soothing “Don’t pay attention to them.”
He kept his eyes on them as they walked in and sat down, just barely in the corner of his eyesight. They were very much aware of his presence; it’s very hard to miss Dies.
“Son of a !@#$,” Dies whispered, and Sally looked at him, wide eyed. She knew he was going to confront them, maybe even get in a fight with one of them, and she also knew she couldn’t stop him. He looked like grim death to her sitting there, watching them out of the corner of his eyes, drumming his fingers on the table.
They continued to ignore him; smiling, laughing, having a good time. Then they leaned in to kiss each other, and that’s when he’d seen enough.
He rose from his seat as fast as lightning; sending it toppling down behind him, “CHEAP PRICK!”
Jorge and his new lover looked up in alarm, and saw a very angry Dies storming over to them.
“Dies,” Sally began, but was cut off by Dies.
“You slimy !@#$! You knew I’d be here, yet you bring your new !@#$ with you, just to piss me off! Don’t you even try to tell me you didn’t know I’d be here; you know I meet Sally here everyday, you cheap !@#$! !@#$ YOU!”
Jorge tried to say some thing, but Dies proceeded to scream, “KISS MY ASS! I hope you die and burn in Hell! And while you’re burning, I hope Satan anal rapes you for the rest of eternity!”
“Dies,” Sally grabbed his hand, “Dies, c’mon, let’s go home.”
Dies ripped his hand out of her grip, “YOU CHEAP !@#$!” He punched his ex in the eye, and Donnie tried to grab Dies. Bad idea; Dies grabbed Donnie by his arm and threw him through a table, cracking two of his ribs.
Jorge then tackled Dies to the ground, and they began kicking, punching, and screaming on the floor in the middle of the busy coffee shop.
“!@#$!” Sally muttered, narrowly dodging one of Jorge’s kicks. The owner of the shop came running out of the back.
“What in blazes…?” He said, utterly baffled, when he noticed Dies standing over Jorge, kicking and stomping on him, screaming very graphic descriptions of how he’ll kill him and maim his dead corpse.
“Good Lord Dies!” He said, running over to him, and putting him in a head lock. Mr. Armstrong is a mammoth of a man that stands at about 6’7” and runs the coffee shop with his wife. He could wrestle a full grown grizzly bear and laugh about it later. He obsesses about health, whether it’s his or one of his loved one’s. His arms are as big as tree trunks, and felt like steel when he flexed. And Dies’ neck was being squeezed between one of them. Dies was just about the only guy in town that wouldn’t pass out from one of Mr. Armstrong’s head locks.
Jorge tried to get up and hit Dies, but found himself locked under one of Armstrong’s size 13 work boots.
“I’m sorry, Logan,” Sally said.
“That’s alright, Sally, I know how he is,” Logan said, squeezing Dies a little tighter, and then relaxing.
Dies growled as Logan lifted him and walked out of the shop with him under his arm.
Jorge and Donnie left, broken and bleeding, swearing under their breath.
“You never change, do you?” Logan asked as he set Dies down on the sidewalk.
Dies rubbed the back of his neck, “Damn, old man, you could’ve killed me.”
“I’m sorry, Mr. Armstrong, he won’t do it again.” Sally said, “He’s going home now, right Dies?”
Dies flinched because of the stone look Sally gave him, “Yes’m…”
“Chill out, Dies. You look like you haven’t slept in days. Take a load off and relax, alright? I’ll take care of everything here; don’t worry about paying me back. You two’re like kids to me, don’t even try to protest.”
“But, Mr. Armstrong-“Sally began.
“No, you just worry ‘bout that boy of yours. Now get going!” Logan waved them off and walked back into the shop to try and calm a very angry Mrs. Armstrong.
“Look what you did!” Sally scolded, “You’re lucky I have to go back to work! Get your ass home, and stay there, will you?! I’ll be home at the usual time.” She stormed off, leaving Dies with a very guilty conscience.
!@#$, he thought, I hate it when she does that. I have to make this up to her somehow…

Okay I'm a little confused. Logan, Mr. Armstrong, and the shop owner are the same person, right? The names keep on changing...
Other than that. Great story! I like the fact that Dies is a "kick-ass" character, but is easily controlled by Sally. _________________ Release Date For Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories: August 2006

That depends. If I've got all my ideas, then it shouldn't take more than three hours. One hour for organizing, one and a half for typing, and the last half hour for proff reading, spelling and grammar checking. *WINK* I do believe I have the next chapter...OoOo! It's good one, too! Hmm...it's a little on the mature side, though. Should I post...? _________________ I waited through the whole series to see this...and now, I have a .gif of it. ^_^

Chapter Two
Sorry Sally
Dies put his leather jacket back on the coat rack and slumped onto the couch again. He sighed, dammit; she’ll kill me when she gets home…
He got up and walked into the kitchen where the housekeeper, Celia, was drinking a cup of tea. She’s a short, rather plump woman with brown hair that comes down to her shoulders and hazel eyes. She looked up when he walked in, “Dies! Where did that bruise come from? Who hit you?!” She flicked a switchblade out of her apron. “I’ll cut them!”
Dies smirked, “Nah, that’s alright, Celia…It’s nothing. Look,” he poked his bruise, “It doesn’t even hurt.”
“Alright,” she said, hiding the switchblade again, “At least tell me what happened.”
Dies walked over and leaned on the table, “I got into a brawl at the coffee shop…”
“With who?” Celia asked.
“With Jorge and his new boyfriend,” Dies said through gritted teeth.
Celia raised her eyebrows and took a large gulp of tea, “Dies, honey; forget about him!” She slammed her mug on the table top, “Look at you! You’re acting like a girl, all hung up on her jerk ex! You can do so much better!”
Dies laughed, “Celia, did you put rum in your tea again?”
“Scotch. But that’s not the point here!” She said, “You should relax, put a band-aid on that cut because it’ll probably get infected if you don’t, and forget about him. I’ll make you some muffins; sit down.”
Dies grinned, “Thanks, I’ll eat them later…I have to do something for Sally. She got real pissed because of the fight. You got any ideas?”
Celia thought for a moment, “You could cook for her. Or maybe get her a book or something…She’s an odd girl.”
“Chocolate Crepes!” Dies exclaimed, and Celia jumped.
“What?”
“Chocolate Crepes! She loves chocolate crepes!” Dies said, digging through the cabinets. After a moment of rummaging through several different places in the kitchen he yelled, “!@#$! Are you kidding me?!”
“What?” Celia asked.
“We’re out of cocoa powder! I can’t make chocolate crepes without it.” Dies said, storming back to the coat rack. He ripped his jacket off of the rack and put it on. “I’ll be back…”
Sally shoved a book back on the shelf, muttering “Lousy Dies…making me late for work.”
Sally worked at a book store that was a few blocks from the coffee shop she always meets Dies at everyday for her lunch break. When she came back five minutes late from her break, her manager, Carrie Cummings, lectured her on how she shouldn’t be late, how she should dress a little nicer, and how she should greet the customers more politely for about fifteen minutes, then very rudely told her to get back to work because she’s wasting time just standing there. Sally wasn’t very happy about Ms. Cummings and how she’s been harassing her since she got hired as manager. Sooner or later, Ms. Cummings will have a rather unpleasant Dies speaking to her about how she’s been treating his sister for the past six months.
Sally walked over and sat behind the counter, mumbling “Stupid lady…all that !@#$ because of Dies.”
Maybe if he gets that bitchy manager off my case I’ll let the coffee shop thing slide, she thought.
“Are you slacking off some more?” Carrie said, looking at Sally from behind a bookcase. “There are plenty of things to do, Sally! Stop being so difficult!”
“Sorry ma’am!” Sally said, thinking, definitely. If Dies gets her to stop bitching at me, I won’t pay any attention to anything bad he does for about a year.
As Dies walked down the street, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being watched. He smirked and fished his pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, put one in his mouth, and started looking through his several pockets for his lighter. He found it in his inside pocket, lit the cigarette and took a long drag. He kept walking, and as he turned the corner, he glimpsed Donnie for a brief second over his shoulder, quite a little ways behind him. Donnie seemed pretty angry still, so it was safe for Dies to assume that Donnie was following him.
Dies grinned. So, you wanna rematch, huh? It’ll be my pleasure, you shithead.
He ducked into a nearby alleyway before Donnie could turn the corner. He leaned against the wall, smiling calmly. You would never expect murderous intent from a man so peaceful looking…
Dies heard Donnie’s footsteps getting closer…closer…right before the alley…
He quickly held his arm out, clothes lining Donnie. As he began to fall backwards, Dies reached out, grabbed him by his collar, and pulled him into the alley.
Donnie’s amber eyes grew wide with terror when he realized he was face-to-face with Dies. Dies’ steel gray eyes bore into Donnie’s; he felt as if he were going to be sick.
“Hey there, Donnie.” Dies said, his voice low, full of malice, “You think I’m stupid, don’t you?”
“W-what?” Donnie sputtered.
“Are ya deaf, Donnie? If you are, I could take off those ears for you.” Dies flicked his prized stiletto out of his pocket and held it up so he could see it, “If they don’t work, there’s no point in having them, right?”
Donnie whimpered, “I can here you fine!”
“Good. Now answer my question. Do you think I’m stupid?”
“Uh, n-no…”
“Oh, really? Well, then why the !@#$ were you following me? Do you want my number or something? Or were you gonna get rid of me when I had my back turned?”
“What?”
“I thought your ears worked, Donnie,” Dies interrogated, his voice steadily rising with anger, “What the !@#$ were you tailing me for?”
“Uh…I dunno!” Donnie choked out, looking away from Dies intense stare.
“!@#$!” Dies screamed, “You want this in your eye?” He held the knife at Donnie’s eyes, “’Cause it’ll get !@#$ stuck in there if you don’t stop wasting my !@#$ time with your !@#$ answers!” He threw Donnie against the wall, and held him against it with one of his powerful arms, “You better start talkin’…if you want to keep your face the way it is.”
Donnie panicked, “I-I wanted to get the jump on you!”
Dies cackled, “Well, looks like you didn’t, Donnie boy!” He leaned closer; so close their faces were barely half an inch apart, and whispered, “I’m leaving you with your life today, you’re lucky I’m just not in the mood to make our problem disappear. Here’s what I want you to do for me. I want you to take this to Jorgie, and give him a message for me.” Dies cut a piece of Donnie’s ear off, and Donnie shrieked in agony, “Quit your yellin’ and listen! I’m only saying this once.” Donnie reduced his screams to whimpers and Dies continued his voice steady and deadly, “Tell Jorgie that if I ever see him or you on the streets I’ll kill you. Slowly and VERY painfully. And I’ll make sure they never find you, EVER. I’ll make you regret the day you started !@#$ around behind my back.”
He shoved Donnie to the ground, threw the piece of ear at him, and said, “By the way…Get a new pair of pants. I think you ruined them for good.”
He leaned down, towards Donnie once more, and he cringed and looked away, shutting his eyes tight. Dies wiped the blood off of his knife onto Donnie’s shirt, and hid it in his jacket pocket again. He smirked, “Yeah, definitely get a new pair of pants, dude. Cremate those.”
He calmly stood up straight again, turned, and walked out of the alley with a huge smile on his face.
After returning with the cocoa power, Dies started making chocolate crepes with Celia. She wondered what took him so long, but she decided not to ask; a peaceful Dies equals recent violence that she didn’t feel like hearing about. Sally would question her anyway, and she doesn’t like lying to her, so Celia figures she’s better off not knowing right away.
The first crepe lit on fire. Dies wasn’t really paying attention to it, and when it burst into flames, he screamed, threw the pan on the floor and started stomping on it. Celia smacked him, but she realized afterwards that it could’ve ended up worse, so she apologized.
He knew better after the first crepe, so the rest of them turned out okay. He grinned and gave Celia the thumbs up.
Look at him, she thought, He’s like a little kid, waiting for his mom or something…
He started cutting strawberries to go with the crepes, humming calmly, when Sally came into the kitchen. She came in ready to rant and scold Dies like a disobedient child, but her bad mood broke when she saw what he made.
“Dies? What’s all this?” Sally asked him.
He turned around, “Oh, this? This is my way of kissing your ass and apologizing for the thing earlier today.”
She smiled, “You cooked? Am I sure I wanna eat this…?”
Celia said, “I helped, so it shouldn’t kill you.”
Dies rolled his eyes, “Hey! Come on, now! Eat it and not be mad at me!”
Sally laughed, “I’m not mad at you, and thank you, Dies.”
“Yay!” Dies grinned like a child, “Alright, I’m gonna go sit on the couch, then.” He kissed Sally’s forehead, and left the room.
“So…this manager chick’s been giving you hell?” Dies asked.
“Yeah,” Sally said, “I don’t know what the hell her deal is! She just bitches at me every chance she gets…”
After eating the chocolate crepes, Sally joined Dies in the living room. Celia went home after saying good bye to both of them, leaving them to talk. Sally and Dies have always trusted each other with everything. They talked everyday about what they did. The only thing that wasn’t shared between them was Dies’ little encounters with certain people. He didn’t tell Sally because it’d only worry her, and he figured if she didn’t know, then what harm could come to her? So, he kept the whole alley thing to himself.
Dies stood, walked over to where she sat, and hugged her, speaking softly, “Forget about her; she’ll wise up.”
They remained like that for a moment, then Dies let her go, “I have to go out tonight; need to clear my head. Truth is, I’m still kinda mad about him, so I’m gonna go get a drink.” He walked over to the coat rack once again, and put his leather jacket on, again. “Don’t worry ‘bout me, though, I’ll be back.”
“Be careful…” Sally said as he walked out the door.
Dies wasn’t out to get a drink. He was out to find Carrie Cummings. He had his ways of finding people; when Dies needed money, he took on rather shady work. Hit man, assassin, bounty hunter; you name it, he’s been it. In his line of work you have to have good resources, or else you’ll never get anywhere. Dies doesn’t work very often because when he does, he gets paid very well. So, every few months, another story of how cold-blooded Dies is leaks out into the underground society, and more people never want to meet him in a dark alley. And with a reputation like that, there’s always fans; most of them being after him in a different way. If Dies wanted company in his bed, he got it. Most of his ‘associates’ are very well acquainted with Dies. Right now, he needed one of his more frequent partners. He needed Lily.
Lily is a carefree girl that stands at 5’5” with a tan complexion, bright blue eyes, and short flaming red hair that comes to the middle of her cheeks. She specializes in getting information. She’s always cheery and goes to her work with a smile, especially when she’s working with or for Dies. When he walked through the bar door tonight, she knew he needed her. Somehow, she knew.
She pretended not to notice him as he walked over behind her, and said smoothly, “Hey, Lil.”
She turned around and exclaimed, “Dies! When did you get here?” She launched herself off of her stool and into his arms, “I was starting to think somebody took you out…”
Dies grinned, “Me? HA! You should know by now; I’m damn near invincible!”
She pulled out of his arms and placed her hands on her hips, “Where have you been, then?” She narrowed her eyes, “You haven’t been working with other people, have you?”
Dies’ grin shrank to a sly smirk; yup, same old Lily.
Lily had a way of getting Dies to talk. She always wore skimpy outfits and acted tough to get his attention, and it worked. Today she was wearing cut-off jeans and a bright red tube top that made her eyes seem brighter, and her breasts bigger and rounder. He eyed her up as she stood in front of him, staring him down.
“No; I haven’t been working at all. My boyfriend didn’t like my line of work…” Dies said, “But, I’m single again, so here I am.”
Lily smiled thinking, ah ha! He is single again! So, the rumors were true…well, he’s mine tonight.
“Aw, Dies,” She said stepping closer again and running her fingers through his hair, “Too bad; I heard about it. You’ll find somebody better, don’t worry.”
“Yeah…” Dies said, placing his hands on her hips, “I have someone for you to find some stuff about…”
Her face lit up, “Do you? Well, let’s go to my place where we can…talk.”
Two hours later, Dies lit a cigarette as he lay in bed with Lily, both of them naked. He took a long drag and offered his cig to Lily.
“No thanks,” she said, “I quit.”
“Oh,” Dies said, “That’s good, I’m happy for you. Cute thang like you shouldn’t do stuff like that, anyway.”
She smiled, “I shouldn’t hang out with you, but I do anyway.” She rolled onto her side, facing him, “So, all I gotta do is find her house? No personal info, no nothing?”
“Yup, just her house,” Dies said, kissing her.
“No fun…” She sobbed, reaching out for the only thing he was wearing; his chain. Dies never took it off because he got it from his ‘mother’ right before she died. It was a thick silver chain with a pendant that meant ‘guardian angel.’
He grabbed her wrist tightly, “Don’t touch that!” She flinched and a pained expression came over her face, then Dies muttered, “Sorry,” he let go of her wrist, “I just don’t like people touching that…” He grabbed the pendant, “It was my mom’s…”
“Oh! I didn’t know! I’m sorry!” Lily said.
“Yeah, I know; it’s cool,” Dies said in his usual smooth tone, “Well, I gotta leave now. Where’re my clothes…?”
“I think they’re in the hallway…” She thought aloud.
He sat up slowly, “Yeah, that sounds about right,” he kissed her again, “I’ll be back…I dunno when, though, but I will be.”
“Kay, I’ll be waiting,” She winked.

Celia's just...a little psychotic. Dies is supposed to be scary when he's mad, so I guess I did a good job of writing. YAY! I'm proud of myself! I don't have chapter three yet because I haven't really written any of it. ^_^; See, whenever I sit down to write, people feel the need to HARASS me about stupid things that I have to fix... _________________ I waited through the whole series to see this...and now, I have a .gif of it. ^_^
