I have one, it started out as a homework assignment, and it turned into something REALLY gory. I'm surprised that my teacher even accepted it...I don't know if I should post it though...

Whoa, we just did this thing in English and it is like that it starts off with I am... and then you have to fill in out, thats weird.

A Dragon’s Wings

The light from within,
The stone from without,
Clouding my mind,
With pain and doubt.

Pulse at a stand still,
My heart does not beat,
My eyes see victory,
My soul sees defeat.

My bittersweet sword,
My savior and my end,
Two mixing bloods,
Without foe, without friend.

Demotic Dragon,
The Dark and the Light,
Confused deep inside,
Like dawn before night.

Tearing apart,
Like a rip through seams,
Seeing destruction,
As visions and dreams.

Hearing his voice,
Calming like rain,
Grasping my hand,
Ending all pain.

He's here for me now,
I called and he came,
Granting me solace,
Without speaking my name.

How can he smile,
Look into these eyes,
When he knows all about me,
Unearthed all my lies.

Who am I really?
I ask from within,
For all that is there,
Is blame and sin.

Tainted by blood,
Unwillingly so,
Am I a dragon?
I no longer know.

The names I am called,
Murderer, child,
The turmoil inside,
Is chaos too wild.

Life is what it’s called,
Full of death and betrayal,
Secrets told and locked within,
Crimson and pale.

Scarlet tarns upon the floor,
Running through my heart,
Blood is all there is to life;
We must all play our part.

Two forces, ill and innocent,
An Angel made of Dark Ice,
Black beneath the sheen.

Like a puppet stung about,
Bound by to many strings,
Holding myself inside,
Beneath my sable wings.

Shadows dance around my mind,
Like the purest drifting snow,
Soft but frozen, light but cold,
Proscribing angels’ agony.

I am no one in myself,
These thoughts can hold no chains,
In truth my life is ever ruled,
By what runs through my veins.

Farfarello33...it was beautiful. I loved how the rythm flowed, and how you kept to a specific rhyme scheme. I have a web site with some poetry, also snippets from my book(which I am editing...) but I can't seem to open up my original piece "Broken Heart". I wouldn't read any unless you like depressing poems.

And Drakkon, I knew I liked you. William Blake is my favorite poet. Two of my favorite poems "The Poison Tree" AND "The Clod and the Pebble" are by him.
