MySpace has gone from a place where you can meet new people and get to know them, to a place where everyone wants to have the most friends.

Does anyone else think so too?

It's always kind of been that way. Ever have those friends that are like "OMG I HATE PEOPLE THAT JUST SIT THERE AND ACCUMLATE FRIENDS AND THINK IT'S A POPULARITY CONTEST".. and then they have 500 friends? And multiple profiles?

I know I've definately said that before..
Yeah, I've got 782 friends on there, but it's not because I just want to have the most friends, I pretty much just accept anyone who sends me a request. That's how I got so many.

I mostly just use MySpace as an online little black book. If you're my friend, I add you. If I need to contact you somehow and don't know how, I'll goto your Myspace. Ohterwise, I don't really spend a lot of time checking out profiles or commenting on pictures.

I'm too lazy to pretend I'm interested in pictures of people. Maybe that sounds a bit crass, but it's true.

Eh. It's all the same either way. I don't think anyone really cares about most of the people that even join the site.
It's pretty sad in my eyes.

i've been on myspace for about a year i thnk. but i got only 40 something friends....i'm so lonely Crying or Very sad

and most of those friends are there because they popped out of nowhere and asked to be my friend.

Well, I've got an update.
I've been on myspace for about.. eh.. three years and I now have 843 friends.
Am I just too nice? Or am I still mean?
